Dr. Ertuğrul İnce
I am a physician practising in Caddebostan, on a street just off Bağdat Avenue in Istanbul. Alongside medical aesthetics, I carry out complementary medicine practices under certification from the Turkish Ministry of Health. On this page I want to describe how I came to this work and how I work with my patients.
Education and professional background
I completed secondary school in 2011 and went on to study at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine, graduating as a physician in 2017. I then completed my compulsory service in Istanbul. Those were the years that taught me the most: working with a large number of patients of different ages and expectations showed me that medicine is not only technical knowledge but also communication and the ability to ask the right question.
I opened my first clinic in Tuzla in 2021. It was a small place, and my time there was where I learned how to build a relationship with a patient, when it is necessary to say no, and how much of a treatment's outcome comes from technique and how much from a correct indication. In 2022 I moved the practice to Caddebostan, near Bağdat Avenue, where I see my patients today.
Certification and continuing education
Medical aesthetics and complementary medicine are fields that change constantly, so education did not end for me at graduation.
Certifications approved by the Turkish Ministry of Health
- Mesotherapy practice certificate
- Acupuncture practice certificate
- Ozone therapy practice certificate
- Cupping (hijama) practice certificate
Congresses and scientific meetings attended
- IMCAS — International Master Course on Aging Science
- AMWC Monaco — Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress
- MESTDER — Turkish Medical Aesthetics Association congresses and courses
- MEZODER — Mesotherapy Association training programmes
- Turkish Society of Dermatology scientific meetings
What these meetings gave me was less a set of new techniques than the chance to see how the same problem is approached in different countries. A method being popular does not mean it suits every patient — you only see that by comparing approaches.
My approach
I hold a few principles about this work and share them openly at the first consultation.
Examination first, decision second. I do not plan any treatment from a photograph, a message or a telephone call. Tissue thickness, muscle strength, bony support and skin quality can only be judged in person.
Natural is a standard, not a preference. My aim is not to change my patients' faces but to help them look rested and balanced while keeping their own features. I believe a procedure can only be called successful when it does not look like one.
Saying no is part of treatment. Not every request has a medical counterpart. If an expectation is unrealistic, it is better to say so at the outset. Sometimes the right advice is no procedure at all — adjusting a skincare routine and establishing sun protection.
The process stays transparent. The name, batch number and expiry date of every product used are recorded in the patient file, and I show the packaging to anyone who asks. I ask that you take the time to read the informed consent form; nothing you do not understand should be signed.
Follow-up matters. The process does not end on the day of the procedure. The review appointment is part of the plan and the point at which we assess the result together.
